Back to School: Lily Pulitzer Agenda Review

So here we are, mid August, and it's back to school for many of us. Some of you are probably already back! But since it's still the beginning of a new school year, I wanted to share with you a tool that I absolutely love in keeping me on track. My Lily Pulitzer agenda is, at the end of the day, what keeps me writing down what I need to do..therefor not forgetting what I need to do. The bright colors and beautiful patterns keep me amused and attentive. I have my two Agenda's to show, the one from last school year and now my new one for this upcoming semester. Very similar, yet different.

PATTERNS:

When I ordered my agenda for last year it was well into August. At that point, there were not that many options in patterns. I remember there being a hot pink and orange one, but I wanted something a little more subdued. I chose this pink and navy pattern, and I'm completely forgetting what it's called. They aren't selling it this season anyway, but Trippin and Sippin is quite similar.
This year, I got the email in June for the preorder of 2014-2015 agendas. I looked through the patterns and found this adorable light blue and pink jelly fish pattern, and I just had to order it in fear that I would lose it! It arrived in July and I was so pleased. Luckily, Jellies be Jellin' is still available on their site! So if you like it, it's up for grabs.

SIZE:

Last year I was into going to the extreme seeing as how this was my first year of college. I went for the jumbo sized planner, which is 8 and 3/4 inches by 11 and 1/4 inches. Its basically the same size as your average sheet of printer paper! I really liked this size, it fit well with all of my notebooks and wasn't noticeably a planner. But I must note that it is very very heavy. If you're not lugging it from class to dorm or class to class, then I would recommend it. It's great for even the working woman that would like a planner for her work space.
After going through two semesters of the jumbo planner, I decided to go a size down. I purchased a large sized agenda, which is 6 and 3/4 inch by 8 7/8 inches. To me this is the perfect size out of all 4 sizes. It's not too small and you still have a ton of space to write, yet it's not ginormous. I'm looking forward to taking this to classes without adding too much weight to my bag, since it's already riddled with binders and books.
Jumbo- 8 3/4 by 11 1/4 (inches)
Large- 6 3/4 inches by 8 7/8 (inches)

CALENDARS:

I believe basically everyone has a different technique in how they keep track of themselves in an agenda. For me, I use calendars to basically note when big projects are due and when an exam takes place. Above shows my calendar from my spring semester, in the jumbo agenda. This was March and just happened to be the month of my spring break, so not too much going on. For a girl that likes to write way more in their calendar section than I do, this is perfect for you. Enough room for parties, birthdays, holidays, assignments and even blog posts. Also a big plus is that every month has a different Lily pattern. It makes each month feel so fresh! I like to coordinate the colors of my highlighters to the patterns each month. Below is a picture of my not yet used large agenda. Smaller, but still tons of room! I think it will work out just perfectly for this school year.

DAY BY DAY:

In both the large and jumbo agendas there is tons and tons of room to write your daily assignments and "to dos". I never found a problem with not having enough room to fill in extra notes and what not. I was so pleased with my first Lily agenda in that there was tons of room in the daily section. There's typically 3 days to a page, if that helps give a visual to how much room you have to sprawl out those assignments!

Also, a big plus is the sticker page. You might have seen the stickers I used on my calender in the jumbo agenda.. I used up the entire page of stickers in my agenda last year! I liked to put them when I got an A on a paper or exam, or when I had a day off. They really add a cute touch and keep you visually entertained.

PRICE:

Now these agenda's definitely are not cheap, but they are great quality and worth the price in my opinion. I like to put that extra 20/30 dollars towards a really high quality agenda for the school year. It really helps me keep on track, and yes I do write in it EVERYDAY. It's not some sort of goal for the first month of school and then I give up and it gets lost in a pile of notebooks somewhere. So if organization and keeping a written record of your life is for you, I recommend the Lily Pulitzer agendas 100%.
Jumbo- $34
Large- $28

♥ Are you going back to school this fall? If not, do you still use a planner? Do you have a favorite agenda or company? ♥

**All opinions are my own. Both agendas were purchased by me, one year apart.

  3. Nice review, I've never had used one of these. Even though I've graduated now, maybe it would not be such a bad idea to get one so as to stay organized.

  14. My name is yurich jerry am from USA. i want to use this opportunity to thank my great doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man DR.Ogboni brought my husband back to me, i had three lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago i and my husband has been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. i felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. i tried to be strong just for the kids but i could not control the pains that torments my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because i was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would come back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man email address. i was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i deed them all, he told me to wait for just two day and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully deed what this great man asked me to do and for sure after two days i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy.that's why i want to say a big thank you to DR.Ogboni spiritual temple. This great man made me to understand that there is no problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. you can email him at: ogbonispelitemple@hotmail.com
