-2015- What now?

It's that time again. That time that gets us all to reflect on where we've been, and where we will go.
I took a quite long hiatus, from here. Three months exactly.  This past semester was tough, and one of the hardest semesters I have ever endured. I needed the time to focus 100% on my school work, so that next time a semester smacks me in the face I'll know how to handle it well. Luckily enough, my hard work and dedication towards school paid off. I received a 4.0! For the first time, I was able to keep an average of 94 and higher in all four of my classes. That was one of my New Years resolutions for 2014, and I ended the year with it accomplished! And guys, it took such hard, hard work.
Now, for 2015, I am ready to take it by its horns and defeat it. 2014 taught me a lot that I can take with me into the new year, so that's exactly what I'll do.

My 2015 Resolutions:

Smile More: In 2014, I managed to make amends with 90% of the people I had some bad blood or tension with. That took so much out of me, but it truly made me feel so much more free and light. For this year, I just want to smile more and have more of a warm first impression. I have what you call a "bitchy resting face," that tends to intimidate people. I really want to get out of that groove.

Write: Writing was a resolution for 2014 as well. I wrote in a journal until about April, and then gave up. I don't know if it's just that life was too boring, or what! This time I'm going to write at least once a week, whether that will be a formal journal entry or not. I think it's important to write how you feel, if you are not prone to opening up to others, like myself.

Get in Touch with my Spirituality: Although it's not for everyone, I find myself to be much calmer when my faith is high. I'm a Christian (Roman Catholic), but I haven't attended church in about two years. I just want to reflect often on my actions and if they are appropriate for what I believe in. For example, some people say "Don't give money to the homeless because you don't know what they will do with it." okay, yeah, but I'd rather give five dollars then risk missing someone who truly needs it. Those kinds of philosophies are what I aim for to keep me uplifted in my faith. Meditation, prayer, the Bible and reflection are what I'll use as tools in this endeavor.

The Blog: I want 2015 to be the year my blog grows greatly. I want to attract people with my content because they can relate. I want to meet new people, help people, and ultimately just be within the blogging community. I am going to aim for at least 2 blog posts a month in 2015. The Spring 2015 semester may be harder than the last, so I'll have to keep it at 2 for those. Otherwise, I'm going to be present, and active!

-What are YOUR New Years Resolutions for 2015? Do you tend to do the same thing every year, or do you take yours seriously?-
