NEW Miss Manga Mascara by L'Oreal

Mascara is one of my most favorite beauty products, so I am always keeping my eye out for new kinds. I noticed this really cute commercial on the television that would come on and interrupt my favorite shows all the time (ehem, Pretty Little Liars). I finally decided to pay attention to it and noticed it was an advertisement by L'Oreal for their new Miss Manga mascara! That is when I knew, I was going to the drug store to pick it up ASAP.
Their pitch for this product is that it will give you those huge, over the top "manga" style eyes. Who doesn't love to brighten and widen their eyes? Everyone does.. So I wanted to see if their claim is even half true!

APPLICATION:

So initially, before you cover the wand in mascara, the brush is a really pretty hot pink. Not that that matters at ALL but I thought it was really pretty. While many of the mascaras I use regularly have plastic bristles, this mascara has synthetic bristles that are similar to an eyebrow brush. They are narrow at the tip and widen towards the bottom, making it really easy to get to all your small lashes at the inner corner of your eyes. Also, this wand is flexible. As you can see in the picture to the left, their is an indent about a half an inch below the brush. This is a 360 degree flexor, making it even more easy to apply mascara to all the difficult and tight places! The shape of the applicator combined with the flexor make for an easy application to every little lash.

FINAL PRODUCT:

After applying the mascara, and loving how easy it was to get to even the tiniest lash, I noticed how much length and volume it adds. Not only does it thicken your lashes a bit, it also lengthens them, almost like a mascara with fibers . I did notice that it clumps a bit if you go in for a second coat, which I'm not quite used to as I've been using Covergirl's Clump Crusher for months. Now, this does not bother me too much. You just have to act quick and get that second coat on before it dries, or you'll have a really unappealing process applying it. In the pictures below, I only used one coat of mascara. So keep in mind, you could bump it up to 2-3 coats and imagine the final results?

Miss Manga Mascara by L'Oreal Overview:
- Color: Blackest Black
- Wand: Narrow at top, wide at bottom. Synthetic bristles. 360 degree flexor.
- Waterproof: No
-Voluminous: Adds a nice full affect, more coats more volume.
-Length: Adds length, amplifies inner lashes.
-Coats: One
- Price: $7 at local drug store, CVS.
OVERALL:
My final opinion on Miss Manga is that it has a lot of potential. It's so build able that yes, it can give your eyes that really large, metaphorically 'manga' look. I give it 4/5 stars based on its wand especially. Even if they were to tweak the product to make it a more wet mascara in the future, they should definitely keep the same wand. It is also both voluminous and lengthening, so that's awesome. A friend of mine even asked if I was wearing Too Faced's Better than Sex mascara! **$8 at Ulta, but also buy one get one 50% off! (Wish I thought of that haha)

♥Have you tried L'Oreals Miss Manga? What do you look for in a mascara?♥

    1. Definitely makes clumps when going onto a second coat.
What I've been trying is wearing it over a clump defying mascara,
such as Covergirl's Lashblast! Seems to help reduce clumpage.
Thanks for stopping by Helen ♥

    1. Try it! And honestly, my favorite part is the wand.
It does a great job getting every single little lash.. Although I do prefer plastic
bristles. I do like the cone shape as well! Let me know your final thoughts. ♥

  14. My name is yurich jerry am from USA. i want to use this opportunity to thank my great doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man DR.Ogboni brought my husband back to me, i had three lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago i and my husband has been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. i felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. i tried to be strong just for the kids but i could not control the pains that torments my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because i was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would come back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man email address. i was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i deed them all, he told me to wait for just two day and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully deed what this great man asked me to do and for sure after two days i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy.that's why i want to say a big thank you to DR.Ogboni spiritual temple. This great man made me to understand that there is no problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. you can email him at: ogbonispelitemple@hotmail.com
